howcto reduce creatine

How To Reduce Creatinine

As the number of patients suffering from kidney disease is increasing, reducing creatinine is a great concern and difficult too. Creatinine is basically a natural waste product that our muscles create. As the kidneys filter blood they remove Creatinine from our body. Creatinine can increase in the blood if a person has a kidney issue, but this could also happen from a high intake of protein, intense exercise, and the use of certain supplements & medications.

All Doctors often recommend a Serum creatinine blood test to determine how the kidneys are functioning. High levels of Creatinine in the blood or urine can suggest that the kidneys are not filtering the blood effectively. They are not performing their function well or reduced functionality indicates they are failing.

Having high levels of creatinine is not life-threatening, but it may be precursor of a serious health issue, such as chronic kidney disease. If a person has high creatinine levels due to a kidney disorder, the doctor will definitely recommend medical treatment or in allopathy, if creatinine is too high patient has advised dialysis and in extreme cases, a kidney transplant. Diet and lifestyle changes form a very important part of any disease treatment in Ayurveda.

In this article, we are sharing some tips on How to Reduce Urea & Creatinine Naturally

Diet

A person may be able to reduce and manage the creatinine level by incorporating some of the following changes to their diet.

Reducing Protein Intake

According to a 2014 Research, eating cooked red meat can increase levels of Creatinine. Red meat is basically a muscle tissue, which naturally contains creatine, which gets converted into creatinine after cooking. When a person eats this cooked meat, their body absorbs the creatinine, and their Serum Creatinine levels may rise.

Eating less red meat and fewer fish products decreases protein intake, which can reduce high creatinine levels. A person should try including more sources of plant-based/vegetable proteins, such as beans, in their diet.

Which Foods Can Boost Kidney Health?

Increasing Dietary Fiber Intake

Dietary fiber provides a range of health benefits like reducing/managing creatinine levels.

A review of research studies published in 2014 spotted that dietary fiber helped lower Serum Creatinine levels in people with chronic kidney disease or CRF.

Many plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, seeds, and whole grains, contain fiber. We recommend more seasonal fruits and vegetables for auto-immune kidney failure patients.

Stay Hydrated

Creatinine levels may arise when a person is dehydrated. Signs of dehydration include excessive thirst, dizziness, and weakness. Severe dehydration can put more strain on the cardiovascular and other organ systems. It can be life-threatening as well.

Drinking water or ORS is the best way to correct or prevent dehydration.

To Make Plain Water More Appealing, Try:

  • adding a few leaves of mint
  • adding a slice of lemon or cucumber with salt
  • fizzy water

Herbal Teas And Decoction Is Another Option.

Any person who experiences ongoing dehydration should see a doctor, as it can be a sign of a kidney injury. People who exercise intensely without drinking fluids, for example, may also be at risk of damaging their kidneys.

Restricted Supplement And Medication Use

Some supplements may increase creatinine levels. Avoiding these supplements obviously help lower levels. Many athletes and bodybuilders take supplements containing creatine to build muscle strength and endurance. The muscles use creatine for energy, but if the muscles do not use it completely, the body converts it into creatinine. This can result in high creatinine levels that doctors may misinterpret as kidney disease.

Thus, it’s necessary for people with high creatinine levels should avoid any product that contains creatine.

Are Creatine Supplements A Good Idea?

Considering A Herbal Supplement

Punnarnava, Gokshura (Nephro-active Plus- is a more potent herbal supplement) & few more herbs play an important role in traditional Indian medicine as a treatment for kidney disorders. There are a lot more herbs that may prove beneficial in lowering creatinine level and maintain kidney health. In the subsequent articles, I will be explaining more about how to reduce Creatinine naturally.

Why to Choose Ayurvedic Treatment from India

Why to Choose Ayurvedic Treatment from India

Ayurveda is one of the oldest & a pranic system of medicine, which works to balance the body’s life energies, referred to as the doshas. ‘Prana’ is the Sanskrit word for life force. Ayurvedic Treatment is one of the Traditional Holistic Healing Methods which has roots in the Indian subcontinent. It is based on the trust that health and Well-being depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and soul.

The history & main classical Ayurveda texts begins with the transmission of medical knowledge from the God to intermediates and then to human physicians. In the available textbooks like ‘Charak Samhita’ it is written that Lord Dhanwantry (Ayurveda God) taught Ayurvedic medicine knowledge to Charaka & a group of physicians including Charaka. Charaka is believed to have flourished in the sixth century B.C. Same wise text is also available in ‘Sushruta’.

In Ayurveda, tridosha theory has been described. In this Medicine, dosha balance is emphasized, and a lot of information and guidance is also given for maintaining harmony/samyavasatha.

Lot more have been written on lifestyle improvement & suppressing of natural urges which are considered unhealthy and claimed to cause a lot of illness.

In Ayurveda medicine world, eight components exist & is known as ‘Ashtanga Ayurveda’ means “the medicine that has eight components” (Skt.

चिकित्सायामष्टाङ्गायाम् cikitsāyām aṣṭāṅgāyāṃ). It is first found in the Sanskrit epic the Mahābhārata, in ca 4th century BCE. The components are:

• General medicine, medicine of the body, Kāyachikitsā

• The treatment of children, pediatrics, Kaumāra-bhṛtya

• Surgical techniques and the extraction of foreign objects, Śalyatantra

• Treatment of ailments affecting ears, eyes, nose, mouth, etc. (“ENT”)- Śhālākyatantra

• Pacification of possessing spirits, and the people whose minds are affected by such possession- Bhūtavidya

• Toxicology- Agadatantra

• Rejuvenation and tonics for increasing lifespan, intellect and strength- Rasāyantantra

• Aphrodisiacs and treatments for increasing the volume and viability of semen and sexual pleasure. Vājīkaraṇatantra

Diagnosis in Ayurveda

Ayurveda has eight ways to diagnose illness, called as pulse (Nadi) , Urine (Mootra), stool(Mal), tongue (Jihva), speech (Shabda), touch (Sparsha), vision (Druk), and appearance (Aakruti). Ayurvedic practitioners approach diagnosis by using the five senses. For example, hearing is used to observe the condition of breathing and speech. The study of the lethal points or marman marma is of special importance.

Traditional medicine, including Ayurveda, contributes significantly to the health status of many communities, and is increasingly used within certain communities in developed countries. Traditional medicine has a long history of use in health maintenance and in disease prevention and treatment, particularly for chronic diseases.

Ayurveda is a holistic system of medicine which cures diseases of the root. Also, if taken judicially and under expert ayurvedic doctor guidance, it has no negative side effect. Tridosha theory is more vast and has answers to many diseases which are unexplainable and idiopathic etiology in Allopathic Medicine.

The world is moving towards Ayurveda as all bacteria are getting immune to the antibiotics and antibacterial available. In near future Researches will be going on to find new ways to deal with infections as current antibiotics will be obsolete. Ayurveda is a futuristic science that is now being researched by the western world. Scientific studies prove the efficacy of all herbs written in our classical texts. About 240,000 American adults use Ayurvedic medicine.

It is said that the originators of the Ayurvedic system of medicine did not base their practices on the experimental method, by this it is meant that there are no record of studies in anatomy, physiology, pathology and pharmacology. But the development of surgery the classifications of disease, the observations on signs and symptoms, prognosis and the descriptions of the nature, toxicity and therapeutic value of drugs as described in the literature all clearly demonstrate a high level of knowledge which would not have been possible for men without the scientific approach.

One thing we should not lose sight of is the fact that the men who gave the system to the world were drawn from the highest intellectual and spiritual hierarchy. Their motive was compassion. Their purpose as to alleviate human suffering and their recorded precepts were for their disciples whom they trained for the service of humanity.

Most of the herbs which are present in the treatment of all acute and Chronic Diseases are abundantly available here. The oldest and largest suppliers of Ayurvedic Medicine are present in India, the knowledge of making medicine is written in various granthas which is essentially passed from generation to generation. There are four basic qualities mentioned in Ayurveda for the best treatment.

1. Medicine(Aushad)
2. Patient
3. Paricharak- Compounder
4. Ayurvedic Physician

1st The best one required for Ayurvedic treatment is “aushad” which is widely available in the Indian subcontinent. Different types of soils available in all tropical areas of India are best suited for the growth of herbs. The environment and Climate is known for quality herb production are only limited to India. The Herbs are grown in Himalaya region & a forest of southern India have the best phytochemicals & other medicinal qualities, which can heal the ailing patient. The best time According to the season to harvest herbs is also written in Ayurvedic texts.

2nd best thing is the processing of medicine written according to classical texts. The same technique is still used in India to manufacture different Ayurvedic Formulations.

How to Reduce Creatinine Levels In Blood

Reduce Protein Intake

  • Stop taking protein diet which is taken by bodybuilders and to make muscles. It increases the burden on kidneys and increases the creatinine level.
  • Consuming too much protein can cause a spike in creatinine levels.
  • Stop eating red meat.
  • Low protein diet reduces the production of nitrogenous waste which decreases the burden in kidneys.
  • Choose plant sources of protein, such as beans, nuts, and tofu, may reduce creatinine levels due to high absorption.

Low Salt Intake

It is mandatory to limit salt intake for people with high creatinine. Excess use of salt increases the chances of high blood pressure which is very harmful to people with high creatinine levels. Too much salt makes you feel thirsty, and drinking too much fluid can cause swelling of the face, legs and abdomen, and an increase in blood pressure. It also increases the urine level which puts the burden on kidneys and increases creatinine levels.

Avoid vitamin c

Avoid the use of food products that contain citrus. They increase the burden on kidneys.

Increase dietary fiber

Dietary fiber helped people with chronic kidney disease lower their creatinine levels.

Many plant foods, including fruits, vegetables, seeds, and whole grains contain fiber.  High dietary fiber intake is associated with a lower risk of inflammation and mortality in kidney disease. Dietary fiber also has the ability to reduce inflammation and all-cause mortality in chronic kidney disease.

Reduce the intake of fluid

Excess fluid intake can be a problem for people with kidney disease. Stop taking too much fluid.

Quit smoking

Smoking can worsen kidney disease and diseases that damage the kidneys, such as diabetes and high blood pressure. High blood pressure and diabetes are the major cause of kidney disease.

Exercise Regularly

Regular exercise should help lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of developing kidney disease.

Use of herbs

The Ayurvedic treatment of chronic renal failure is based on three principles:

  • Treating the damaged kidneys
  • Treating the body tissues (dhatus) which make up the kidneys and
  • Treating the known cause.
  • The advantage of using Ayurvedic medicines in chronic renal failure is that in most patients, the kidney damage can be either partly or fully reversed, the frequency of dialysis can be reduced, and the increased risk of death from cardiovascular diseases can be significantly reduced. Thus, Ayurvedic Medicines have the potential for an important therapeutic contribution in all the stages of this condition.

Ayurvedic treatment for stress

Ayurvedic treatment for stress

Ayurvedic Treatment for Stress

Stress — I don’t have stress. Do you really mean No? Ayurveda Explains Stress

Stress is a wide term for what we experience in life whether that’s work pressure, the urgency to reach office in time or anything which happens out of the way.

Just have a look at this example.

Suppose you had office workload & you were working late last night till 3 am.

The next morning, you got up late and now you are running to reach the office in time to present your report.

It’s raining heavily and you are stuck in heavy traffic. Further construction work on the highway slowed you down.

When you reached office the meeting had already started, that too without you, of course. At that moment, you heard your heartbeat pounding, loud and risky.

Notice something about the above situation? The majority of the things that happened were outside your ability to control.

Try not to quiet your nerves by snatching some espresso/tea. That will just give you a bogus adrenaline surge, and within no time, you’ll feel more down/lethargy than at any other time.

What is this “adrenaline surge” at any rate? To put it in all respects basically, adrenaline is nature’s method for helping you manage a crisis. At the point when feelings of anxiety climb, similar to river spilling out of their banks in a flood, your sensory system kicks in, releasing hormones that help you rigging up for a “battle or flight” reaction. But Mother nature intended this mechanism as an emergency measure. The problem today is that we experience stress so often that our body’s neuro-transmission mechanism is having to kick in many times a day. In other words, our adrenal glands are fatigued and overworked. Result: millions of us are suffering from digestion problems, irritability, weight gain or weight loss, lowered immune function, and just plain exhaustion.

This is how present-day science examines pressure. Presently we need to understand what  Ayurveda says about it.

From ayurvedic ( Natural ) perspective, stress additionally upsets the internal harmony of your doshas—the three powers that administer your wellbeing on a subtle level.

Stress, in ayurvedic terminology, is basically related to the balance of our three vital doshas/energies, ie. Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. To a very great extent, our daily routine work & habits determine how harmoniously these doshas function in the body. Maintaining doshas in good balance in day to day stress is like constantly calibrating(tuning) radio in a cloudy climate to get a clean signal.

Stress and its related issues combine up when we are not able to “balance” our body.  Be that as it may, this “tuning” is simpler — and increasingly fun — to do, on the off chance that we consider the moment and plentiful advantages it yields. For example, on the off chance that you remain warm in chilly climate, you will make your Vata dosha feel adjusted. In the event that you abstain from eating rice each day, you will make your Kapha dosha more settled. If you drink water for the duration of the day, your Pitta dosha will be cheerful. Having your meals in time will quiet down all your doshas.

What to Do About Everyday Stress | How to co-op Stress | Take a Relaxation Break

To prevent the buildup of stress, spend at least 5 to 10 minutes in Shavasana (corpse pose) daily.

Deep Breathing in shavasana will help. Diaphragmatic breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which counters the body’s fight-or-flight response to stress and puts us in rest-and-digest mode instead. Bring your attention to the sensation of the breath flowing in and out of your nostrils, and notice how the exhalation is slightly warm and the inhalation is moderately cool.
If your mind wanders, gently bring your focus back to the breath. When thoughts arise, let them go. This practice balances the nervous system and fosters a relaxed, clear state of mind.

Bring yourself closer to Nature: Do a regular physical activity which includes 30-40 minutes of a nature walk, 20-30 minutes of yoga and pranayams. This will bring harmony to your vitiated doshas.

Eat nature, live nature and sleep nature. Nature has a typical regimen for all seasons and times. The day is meant for being alive and night is meant for sleeping. Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables, eat freshly cooked meals with natural ingredients. Our body is made up of food which so ever we eat & you will soon realize what difference your choice of food can make in helping you cope with stress.  Coffee and tea may give you kick in the morning but it is habit-forming, also caffeine stimulates our adrenal glands which help to release the stress neurotransmitters, which, over time, tires them. So, the best way to start your day is with Amlaki(Indian gooseberry ) powder or capsule whatever you choose. This is the best anti-oxidant and Rasayana for your body and has multiple effects on health, skin, hairs & stomach. All bread is fermented with the help of yeast so avoid them. Avoid synthetic hard, aged cheese — eat fresh homemade cottage cheese or paneer. Don’t buy fermented pre-sliced or canned fruit and veggies. Have them from a local farmer’s market & cook them the same day. Use cow’s ghee(clarified butter) or cook in sunflower oil.

Note: This simple lifestyle and thought process change will slowly eliminate stress and bring more life into your life. We can discuss the latest about Ayurvedic treatment for stress, next time we will discuss on Best Ayurvedic Treatment for Kidney Failure, ayurvedic treatment for cancer, Ayurvedic treatment for diabetes, ayurvedic treatment for arthritis.

Ayurvedic Treatment of Cancer and Lifestyle

Foods Which We Use Daily But Causes Cancer

We eat different varieties of food daily. We are not aware of foods that we eat as some foods contain harmful substances and chemicals which can cause cancer. A variety of cancer patients visits our clinic in the third or fourth stage. We advise them to avoid food items that can cause cancer.

We at Dr. Aggarwal’s Ayurvedic Panchakarma and Research Centre specialize in providing the best ayurvedic treatment of cancer. Here are some food items which we use daily & we even don’t know that it can be a reason for cancer. Look out for these foods in your daily routine and try to omit them. If health is your concern then you are at the right place to enrich it.

Microwave Popcorn

Popcorns are packed into chemically lined bags. Microwave popcorn causes lung cancer. Kernels and oil likely GMO unless organic is not only cancer-causing substances but the fumes released from artificial butter flavoring contain diacetyl which is toxic.

The packed popcorns which we use daily can cause cancer as well like Act 2 & all branded companies. The popcorns available in the mall with a hefty price tag are also not good for us.

Make popcorns at home with fresh corns and butter. Fox nuts can also be baked and then mild rock salt can be added to make it like popcorns. They are a good source of calcium.

Crispy, Brown Foods

Heating to the high temperature of vegetables like potato produces a chemical known as “Acrylamide” which further causes cancer. So avoid baking, roasting, frying foods until they are tan color instead of golden or deep brown.
So, Avoid baking and frying in the same oil. Rather use boiled food.

Canned fruit juices

Cans are lined with a product called bisphenol-A (BPA), which alter the brain cells.  Many plastic objects, thermal paper, water lines, and many dental composites also contain BPA. It is harmful for DNA and causes brain tumors.

Use fresh juices instead or eat fresh fruits.

Grilled Red Meat

Grilled food – especially processed meats like hot dogs – releases a carcinogen called heterocyclic aromatic amines. When red meat is grilled to the point of well-done, it changes the chemical and molecular structure of the meat which is a cause of cancer. That’s why red meat and wine have been a cause of cancer since ages.

Avoid processed foods. Use other ways like boiling.

Refined Sugar

Corn syrup (having high fructose) is major cancer-causing food and other refined sugars as well. Even brown sugar is highly refined. Refined sugars are the major source of insulin spikes and feed the growth of cancer cells.

The sugars which we use daily and available in the market are refined sugar.

Use jaggery or organic sugar or stevia leaves available in the market.

Salted, Pickled, and Smoked Foods

These products contain preservatives, such as nitrates, which are intended to prolong shelf life. These preservatives can accumulate in your body over time. These toxins cause damage at the cellular level and lead to diseases like cancer. Cooking smoked foods at high temperatures causes the nitrates are converted to the much more dangerous nitrites.

Make pickles at home and preserve natural ways like salt, lemon, etc.

Soda and Carbonated Beverages

Sodas are major cancer-causing food. Dyes, carbonated beverages and a host of other chemicals, are very bad for every aspect of health. They provide zero nutritional value and rob the body of the nutrients get from other foods.

Drink lemon water instead.

White Flour (Maida)

Refining white flour removes all nutritional value. Then it’s bleached with chlorine gas. Glycemic index for white flour is very high. It spikes insulin levels without providing nutritional fuel. Carbohydrates are converted to sugars by body, so excessive products that contain white flour can lead to increased insulin resistance and causes cancerous cells.

Use wheat, gram flour but avoid white flour.

Farmed Fish

In commercial fish farming, they raise an incredible number of fish. They are treated with antibiotics, pesticides, and other carcinogenic chemicals to try and control the bacterial, viral, and parasitic outbreaks that result from cramming so many fish in a small space. Fishes that are farmed don’t contain as much omega-3 as wild salmon.

So, seafood is available in limited areas worldwide. Be very choosy for seafood as well.

Hydrogenated Oils

Hydrogenated oil contains refined oils like Gemini, sunflower which we use regularly in the diet. These oils can cause cancer.

Vegetable oils are chemically made from their source, chemically treated, and more chemicals are added to change the smell and taste. They are packed with unhealthy omega-6 fat as well. They alter the structure of our cell membranes. Use coconut oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, mustard oil but that should not be refined.

Tobacco

It is not necessary that only smokers who have cancer breathing in someone else’s smoke also cause cancer. So, avoid active and passive smoking as well. Tobacco contains 70 chemicals that are known to cause cancer by damaging DNA.

Bread

Avoid bread even brown bread. They are made from yeast. They are processed by fermentation. Yeast causes cancer.

Use fresh food.

Conclusion

There are varieties of foods that we eat daily and can cause cancer. Dear Readers, we will be providing you more on these things in our next blog on Carcinogenic food material. We advise all our patients to avoid the above-written items in your food. We provide the best ayurvedic treatment of cancer. Chemotherapy & radiation kills not only cancerous cells but our immune cells as well and hence lowers our immunity. But in Ayurveda, there is nothing like this.
