MAHA YOGRAJ GUGGLU

Mahayograj Gugglu is a very famous and versatile Ayurvedic medicine in tablet form. The tablet has Guggulu (commiphora mukul) as its one of the major ingredients. Useful in a number of diseases,  It has potent rejuvenative action. It should always be taken under strict medical supervision.

Mahayogaraj Guggul benefits: 

Traditionally ayurvedic treatment for joints utilizes this drug the most. Widely prescribed in gouty arthritis, skin diseases, sprue, piles, Diabetes, bloating, etc.

Indication and benefits –

It is indicated in all Vata imbalance disorders.

It is used in painful & inflamed gouty arthritis( high Uric Acid), abdominal tumors, distention, bloating, fibroids, and as rejuvenator.

It is especially indicated in Rheumatoid arthritis, intestinal worm infestation, ascites and splenomegaly.

Mahayograj Gugglu is especially indicated in hemorrhoids, urinary tract diseases, skin diseases, malabsorption syndrome, chronic respiratory diseases, fistula, chest congestion, epilepsy, asthma, cough, anorexia and male and female infertility treatment.

Effect on Tridosha – Calms all the three Doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Mahayograja Guggulu dosage: 
1 – 2 tablets 2 – 3 times a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.

Special co-drinks(anupana)

Based on the target disease, special co drinks are explained for mahayogaraja guggulu.
For Vata diseases like arthritis it is usually co-prescribed with Rasnadi Kashayam or decoction of rasana(Pluchea lanceolata) as rasna has cox-2 inhibitor like action.
For Pitta imbalance diseases, it is administered with decoction of Kakolyadi group of herbs.
For treating kapha imbalance, ekangvir is generally given with Aragwadhadi kashayam
in treatment with Diabetes, doctors use it along with kashayam of Berberis aristata- Daruharidra.
For treating anemia, it is administered along with cow’s urine.

For treating obesity, it is administered along with honey.
For treating skin diseases, it is given along with Azadirachta indica(Neem) decoction
For treating gout, it is given with Tinospora cordifolia(Giloya)
while treating inflammation & pain, it is given with decoction of Piper longum(long pepper).
IN rat-bite Ayurvedic treatment, it is given with decoction of Stereospermum suaveolens(Patala)
For treating eye diseases, it is given along with Triphala kashayam
In ayurvedic treatment for ascitis, it is given along with Punarnavadi kashayam(decoction).

Mahayograj Gugglu Side Effects:

There are no known side effects with this medicine.
This medicine is manufactured with herbal-processed heavy metal ingredients within the limits defined in traditional Ayurvedic textbooks. Hence it should only be taken under strict medical supervision.
Self-medication with this medicine is discouraged.
A very high dose than prescribed may lead to stomach irritation.

Mahayograj  Guggulu DS tablet is the same medicine in double strength. The dose is usually 1 tablet 2 times a day after food.
